“Newspaper umbrella”
Photo taken during Brat Fest at Alliant Energy Center. Brat fest is an annual event held only in Madison, Wisconsin. The umbrella was a display at one of the booths sponsored by a local media. Our family never missed not one year attending this event which aimed mainly at surpassing the previous years gobble of brats.
Bratwurst is considered to be a soul food in Wisconsin, it also is synonym to Wisconsin people’s way of life.
Bratwurst is a compound German word – brat means fry, wurst means sausage. Bratwurst is pronounced with a short A (rhymes with “lot”).
