Boxes are perfect refuge when chairs are scarce, sometimes.

In America, kids have as many toys in their houses as Toys R Us. My son Danny would ask me all the time “Are we going to Toys For Us, Nanay?” And so we never go there because I don’t want him to think that all toys are for him and he can’t have everything that he wants. Toys R’nt always for Us. That’s what I want him to learn. I’m not stingy, but I can’t have my child grow to be greedy. But hey, you know what they like about toys? Boxes! The thought of unwrapping and opening boxes is overwhelmingly exciting to them! Most of the time, my kids would toss the toy and play with the boxes until they’re worn out. They make imaginary house. Imaginary beds, etc. Boxes are perfect for make believe games, perfect for their curious and active imagination.
